UK, USA, France, Google, Syria, Saudi Arabia, China

A stretch of wall along the main atrium of Central Saint Martins is sliced into sections of colour. Seven main segments, each proportionate to an enlarged iPhone Screen, are aligned in an order which could correspond to a global map. Flushing left to right, each segment references the top Google ‘image search’ of a country — UK, USA, France, Google, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and China. The actual image results on Google have been reduced to single blocks of colour by passing them through an algorithm. We experience the world through the highly automated and curated lens that is the ‘search engine’.
